Curriculum Vitae – Board Memberships

Dr. Maren’s strong entrepreneurial bent led her to co-found EagleForce Associates in 2001, which later became Viziant Corporation. She served on the EagleForce Board of Directors from 2001 through 2007.

More recently, she has founded Mourning Dove Press (MDP), and continues to serve as MDP’s Board Chair.

Dr. Maren’s original work in neural networks, together with publication of the Handbook of Neural Computing Applications in 1990, led to her joining the Board of Directors of the International Neural Network Society in the early 1990’s.

Dr. Maren served on the Washington Academy of Sciences Board of Managers from 2006 – 2012, and was active in the committee for developing the Capital Sciences Conference in 2012.

Retaining a lively interest in the arts, Dr. Maren served on the Board of Directors for The McLean Symphony from 2006 – 2013.
